Hello Dr Rynne, I would like to know what causes mild chronic bilateral ethmoid disease? Is this curable? What can I do about it? I got into a car accident on April 26, 2014 and hit the left side of my forehead with the dashboard. After that I ve been experiencing headaches. I got an MRI done 9/6/14 and it said I had mild chronic bilateral ethmoid disease.
Since the report is of chronic ethmoid disease , then it is likely that there has been a long standing infection/irritation of your sinuses and is not related to your accident. There can be many causes including allergies , smoking , environmental pollution , Depending on the cause the treatment will vary .Please dont worry as most of the causes are easily treatable. please meet your doctor for further evaluation and advice.
Thanks
