What Causes Chronic Central Serous Retinopathy?
hi my husband has chronic central serous retinopath.he is 59yrs old,and this came about the day after a truck accident, that he was injured in.He was unable to see,then it was diagnosed as c.s.r.He had c.s.r. 20yrs ago in one eye,witch was lazered and left him with a bit of distorsen in that eye but had no other problems.Please could you tell me if the truck accident would have brought this on,or caused it. thanks

Injury or trauma can cause more commonly macular edema. Central serous retinopathy is caused by idiopathic inflammation.
The edema following injury can be treated by the use of steroids.
Hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist preferably a retina specialist for examination and treatment accordingly.
