What Causes Chronic Eye Twitching?

Hello, I am a female , 53 years old. This is hard to explain, My left eye has been like tiwitching. off and on for the last month or so. It kinda feels like a heart beat in my eye. What could be causing this?? I have high blood pressure and I have been on high blood pressure medicine for over 20 years.

Hello......Twitching of the eyelid is a normal phenomenon related to nervous system.It occurs when the person is under lot of stress or due to worry or work overload....but since you are having high blood pressure its better to consult a doctor as the pressure can cause damage related to facial nerves and eye nerves and avoid any kind of complications.
