What Causes Chronic Malodorous Phlegm Build Up In Throat?
i get white smelly cheesey like balls building up in my throat (in the little slits at the sides of the throat). I've had this problem on and off for years and nothing seemes to work. I end up poking it out with my finger nail which is obviously rather unpleasant and problematic. any suggestions as to the cause and a solution?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.
As per your complain small cheesy balls like formation over the slits on the sides of throat seems to be formation of tonsil stones or tonsilloliths over the tonsillar crypts and are formed due to calcification of debris and dirt over the tonsils.. They cause a bad taste in throat and mouth as well are a common cause for chronic inflammation of tonsils and throat.. I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and in case if there are tonsil stones they can be removed manually.. Their formation can be limited by doing warm saline gargles, gargle with 1:1 solution of hydrogen peroxide and water.. Gargle with water after eating anything.. Limit intake of dairy..
Hope this information helps..
