What do you think the differential diagnosis might be for someone with the following symptoms: Chronic nausea and vomiting, chills, bone aches, marked ketoacidosis, very low white blood cell count. Not pregnant. HIV negative. Already testing for Lyme disease.
Hi, the symptoms you have described have a lot my differentials but my top most differential which I commonly come across in my clinic with these symptoms is urinary tract infection, check if you have any burning urination or pain in flanks. the possible cause would be malaria and enteric fever for those living in endemic areas for these disease like Asia. viral infections typically presents the same way but usually they are not chronic and typically subsides by themselves within a week.
