What Causes Chunky Particles In Urine After Bladder Removal?
My dad 75 years old had removal bladder tumor removed 2weeks ago. Tumor was cancer. They went through his penis and scraped out the tumor. He had a chemo treatment immediately after removal. He is now urinating blood (not real bad) but there are chunks in the urine. The last two chunks were the size of quarters. He doesn t have any trouble urinating. Is these chunks normal?
Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows. 1. Yes, it is normal at present. 2. Still, some amount of bleeding is occurring, which is coming out as clots, which you is being appreciated as chunks in urine. 3. It will slowly reduce and stop. Check his hemoglobin levels. If near normal, not to worry. Also have good hydration and improve Vit B-complex supplements and iron supplements for improved hemoglobin formation. 4. Do followup with your doctor regarding bladder tumor. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
