What Causes Clear Jelly Like Discharge From The Vagina?

Hi there, I am 33 year old mum of 4, ages 12, 10, 4 and 9 months. First child was natural birth, 2nd was emergency c section due of severe placenta abruption, 3rd selective csection and 4th selective but ended in emergency due to uterine scar being very thin so had baby 4 weeks early. I had my tubes removed, on my own decision, because not wanting more kids. Anyway I m in good health since but recently I have constant dull ache(it feels like kidney infection pain) and leaking jelly like discharge and feel wet constantly. I don t know if it s normal but it s the pain really that s bothering me. Hope you can help.

Hi there, I have understood your concern and I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

First of all do not panic.

Your symptoms can be due to some kind of pelvic inflammatory disease, may be due to pelvic infection.
I will suggest you to get gynecology check up done including per speculum and per vaginal examination. This will help to know about cervical erosion or polyp as a cause of your vaginal discharge.

Please seek prescription support from your treating doctor for a broad spectrum antibiotic like Doxycycline 100 mg twice a day for 7 days and vaginal suppositories containing Clotrimazole and Clindamycin for a week.
Use of Lactic acid containing vaginal wash during bath time is advisable

Please encourage your partner to use Condom during sexual activity, not for contraceptive purpose but for preventing transmission of any infection.
