Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, For the past few days I have had a clear to tan coloured fluid coming out of my anus. Whilst this has been going on I have had some stomach upsets, but no diarrhoea. As this is the the third day of these symptoms I have not yet been to the doctors, thinking it will sort its self out. Do you recommend I should see a doctor, as I am unsure about what it could be.
* Likely intestine infection as proctitis or else.
* My recommendations at present
- drink more liquids
- dietary precautions to avoid dairy fat, junk foods
- bulk-forming laxatives to avoid constipation
- high fibre diet with fresh curd, buttermilk to provide probiotics to the gut
- keep a watch over the amount of the same for a further 48 hours
* Consult your doc as per the progress to discuss the need of GI specific antibiotic as metronidazole or Rifaximin for a cure.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
