What Causes Clear,sticky And Clumpy Vaginal Discharge?

Hi, I m Zakary. My girlfriend and I had sex in January for the first time and about half a month later to now she s had these weird clear, sticky, clumpy discharge. And, it s like irregular. Like a few days here a day there and maybe even a week here with a few breaks. Please tell me what this is? She s had her period. But 3 months after we had sex she had the first trimester symptoms. Like craving, morning sickness, excessive urinating. But when she took 2 pregnancy tests. They both came out negative. What is this? Because I know I didn t ejaculate inside of her. And she also finds it in her underwear in the mornings. Please help.

Hello Zakary,

I can understand your concern. If you had sexual intercourse with proper contraception, the chances of your girlfriend being pregnant are nil. Two negative pregnancy tests are enough to rule out pregnancy. Has she missed her periods for three months continuously? Still, if you want a more confirmatory test, you can go for blood test for pregnancy.

Also, a white discharge as you are describing which is not having any other color and is not offensive in odor is normal. She might be noticing it now because she is too conscious/stressed regarding pregnancy and noticing little things now that were perhaps there from beginning.

If she has any other symptoms or has missed periods for three months with negative pregnancy tests, then it is time to visit a gynecologist for physical examination and further investigations.
