What Causes Clotty And Painful Periods?
hi, I am 42 years old and my transvaginal sonogram showed that I have an anteverted non gravid bulky uterus with two intramural fibroids in the fundal region, what does it mean to have a bulky uterus, I have been having clotty, painful periods. I have also been having pelvic pain after my periods with extreme low back pain for the last three months, the back pain intensified over the last one month. My menses last month were also extremely painful for the entire three days, very clotty as well and dark blood. I am currently on betapyn and celebrex but still experiencing the abdominal and back pain. What does this mean?

After going through your history your symptoms heavy bleeding with clots and pain could be due to intramural fibroid.
Bulky uterus means increased thickness of endometrium which is common after age of 40. Or it can be symptom of fibroid.
I would suggest you visit your gynecologist.Doctor would change the current medication and switch over to hormonal pills which reduce heavy bleeding and pain.
