Hi, I ve been taking a low dose of spironolactone for acne and have noticed my urine is cloudy. Could this be a side effect? I have no pain or other symptoms. I ve got an appt scheduled with my OB GYN but would like to know if this is possible. Thanks.

Hello dear user of HCM!
Thank you for sharing your concerns with us on this website!

Yes, cloudy urine, dark or bloody urine may occur while taking spironolactone. They are side effects of this drug. If these concerns are worrying to you or the things are getting worse, you better stop taking that and contact the doctor who has prescribed that drug.

There are other ways of treating acnes, despite spironolactone.
Consult a dermatologist to give you the right cure.

I hope you will be fine soon.
I wish you a good health!
