Hi, I got scratched my cat about a week ago now and the place has since become red and now inflamed and a round red cluster of bumps/blisters. It is very itchy and continues to get worse. At first I thought it might be ring worm but it hasn t really made a ring just more of a cluster. What do you think it is?
I can understand your concern for the cluster of bumps and redness on skin. After analyzing the query I can get that you might have contact dermatitis condition or might be related to simple allergy to any contact allergen. I suggest you to kindly observe any new clothes or anything new coming in contact with you. It might be possible due to cat danders causing the same. In my patients with your kind of condition I generally prescribe mild topical steroid cream to be applied over the affected area and to do cold compression to get best relief. It is also quite important to take antihistamine such as cetrizine or Benadryl for earliest improvement. You can take further guidance from a dermatologist. All the best.
