What Causes Cold, Dry Cough, Laryngitis With Ribs Pain?

I ve got a pain in my ribs on the right side upper. The pain goes from the front to back. This has been going on b for about a month. It started out with a cold and has gotten much worse. My voice is gone almost completely and I ve got a very dry cough. This scares me because my daddy died from lung cancer. Any ideas as to what could be wrong with me. Thank you for your time. I appreciate it. My name is Melissa

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi Melissa, after reading your query, i personally think that it all tokk place in a short period and yoy can be a case of acute laryngopharyngitis . But still at the same time clinical assessment and laryngoscopy can be done to rule out any lesion on the vocal cords as your voice is affected. So do see an ent doctor ..dont be scared and start taking steam till the time u see a doctor.i hope this satisfies you.
