Hello,
You are advised to do
pelvic floor physical therapy, massaging pelvic floor muscles with a Z wand device, or using a
muscle relaxation technique. Also called reverse Kegel exercises. You can do the above exercises after consultation with a physical therapist. Get connected to a physical therapist. Not all get desired results on taking medications, but some do.
Get clinically examined by a
urologist. Medications like PDE5 inhibitors (Viagra, Levitra or Cialis) could get recommended. Depending upon the condition pain relievers, or antidepressants are given. PDE 5 inhibitors can improve symptoms of soft glans syndrome. Your treating Urologist can recommend treatment by MUSE, medicated urethral system for erection in case physical therapy and medications are not giving the desired result.
MUSE treatment is quite successful. Sometimes,
surgical treatment is also recommended. Surgery can be performed to ligate veins and close iatrogenic shunts. Other mechanical ways of treatment that do not give good results are mechanical rings placed at the base of the penis, and vacuum therapy.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
