What Causes Cold Water Sensation And Popping Noises In Ear?

I just went rhrough a round of prednisone for both of ears that were backed up with fluid. It has been 3 days since I got off teh prednisone and now it feels like I have a cold water sensation in my ear and hear little popping noises. I am wondering is that fluid breaking up. The fullness has somewhat returned as well.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Usually fluid in the ear takes up to 3 weeks to clear completely. Sometimes it may take longer than that , depending on the cause. If it is recurrent or lasting for longer duration , you may consider myringotomy and grommet insertion , after consultation with ENT physician.
