What Causes Color Change And A Red Rash On The Penis Head?

I have noticed a sudden change in color on the head of my penis. It s darker and more pale than usual and is accompanied by a small bright red rash. I am sexually active and have had unprotected sex many times. I will be going to get tests made tomorrow but wanted to know the possibilities in advance. My girlfriend has recently been treated for a UTI and has also had a yeast infection that was treated. But I have my doubts she committed to the treatment

Hello,

Yeast infection should have been treated completely before having penetrative unprotected sex. Your symptoms may be indicative of penile yeast infection. Having unprotected sex with a person who has vaginal yeast infection, caused by candida can cause penile yeast infection. Apply ointment Clotrimazole or Miconazole at the affected area. Taking a course of Fluconazole orally will help to get rid of the infection.

Take care of your hygiene, clean your private parts regularly, change your clothes daily and get it cleaned in hot water and Savlon. Wear soft loose fitting cotton clothes. Get your gf treated well so that you do not suffer from recurrent infections. Yeast infection can be transmitted by kissing with a person who has thrush (oral yeast infection). It can also be transmitted via unprotected sex; Men get itchy rashes on their genitals post unprotected sex with a infected person.

It manifests as small red spots or rashes on the penis head, white shiny patches at the penis head with itchiness, burning sensation or discomfort during sex etc. Avoid any sexual activity until both you and your partner are completely healed and cured to be infection free.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
