What Causes Colorful Spots To Appear In The Peripheral Vision?

About a month ago I began seeing colorful spots in my peripheral vision, it was similar to looking through paint or gas fumes and it began while I was out in bright sunlight and while I was driving. It lasted for about an hour then went completely away. No headache, dizziness, nausea. Today this happened again. Should I be worried about this?

It is likely that you are experiencing a variant of migraine . The colorful spots could be due to scintillating scotoma which is known to occur with migraine . It is not necessary for headache to occur in migraine and this form is called acephalgic migraine. I guess you need not worry about this too much. Consult your physician in case you do develop headache.
