25 year old female, had an episode of complete vision loss in both eyes while conscious for two minutes, ct scan and bloodwork all normal in er. menstrual period one week late (very unusual) and experiencing extreme exhaustion since the episode. Having trouble waking up and sleeping over 12 hours. any ideas?
Hi From your statement it appears that the vision loss was for a short period and now it is ok. It may be due to some transient neural deficit at optic nerve level.one such intity is TION I.e. transient ischaemia optic neuropathy. I will suggest you to undergo detail fundus exam and a gen neurological checkup to find out the cause. Most of the time we do not find the cause.. as it was transient. But we must try to explore.
