I am 69 years old. Recently my right big toenail is curving - toe seems to be causing it - doesn t hurt- just concerns me that the concave shape of the toenail is not like the left foot. Is this a sign a increase in my sugar levels. Not schedule for another 6 month check up until September.
Hi. As per your case history of curving nail my advice is - 1. Nail deformity has no relation with sugar. So don't worry. 2. It may be starting of ingrowing toe nail. So wear a loose footwear to avoid pressure on the nail. 3. If it starts hurting then you need to undergo nail avulsion procedure to get it cured.
Thanks. Dr.harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
