What Causes Confusion And Cognitive Impairment?
My 62 years old brother is having symptoms of confusion, difficulty finding the right works, spelling and trouble following conversations. He started out the week with some achiness and thinks he has the flu but I am concerned it is more than that.

In older persons, confusion is most likely to be a symptom of delirium or dementia, although it can also be associated with psychosis and affective disorders, specifically major depression.
