What Causes Confusion And Memory Loss While On Flexeril?

My mom will be 92 next week. She has been suffering with a fractured vertebra since right after Christmas. The doctor put her on Flexeril for muscle spasms, but has been on it for 6 weeks. She has exhibited much confusion the past few days. She doesn't remember where she is at (an assisted living facility), why she is there, or much about the last couple of days.

Welcome to Ask a Doctor service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Functional disorders are very common in this age, but it may not be due to the history of fracture or medicines she might be taking. And there is nothing to worry. Such functional disorders may not need any treatment at this age. Moral support gives very good result, good nursing care is also best option that can be tried.

Hope I have answered your query,
