What Causes Considerable Decrease In The Appetite While On Sertraline?
recently I have been very lax in taking my sertraline. Since I haven t been taking it near as much, I have noticed a substantial decrease in appetite. I looked at side effects, and this doesn t seem to be a common one. I am wondering if for me, the medicine causes me to be hungry and over eat. If so, should I think about changing to another med? I take it for mood and migraine

Sertraline is more of a weight neutral drug, it may however vary from person to person , it in itself might not cause reduced appetite, but since you mentioned mood and not been taking the medication regularly , depression may be associated with decreased appetite weight loss, low mood anger outburts and irritability , and reduced intrest in pleasurable activities , if u feel u may be experiencing these problems you shoukd visit the prescribing doctor to rule out the same
