What Causes Constant Bleeding After An Ablation?

I have been bleeding almost constantly since my ablation over a year ago. I have been to the doctor a total of 4 times. I have had a ultrasound, biopsy, and blood work that came back normal. Now they want me to do another ultrasound, and biopsy. They also put me on birthcontrol even though my hormones came back normal just to see if this would help. I am so tired of appointments that are good at making me miserable but don t do much else. Why won t my doctor just allow a hysterectomy since it is obvious I have a problem? What more can I do? At this point I will not go back to the doctor. I am on my own and desperate.

Hello,

As a first line management, you can take drugs like tranexamic acid to control bleeding.

If symptoms persist you can consult a gynaecologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
