What Causes Constant Chest Congestion In A Child?

My 9 day old infant has congestion for the last couple of days. We all have had a head cold in the family. A couple of hours ago he vomited a couple of times, but has eaten since then and so far seems okay. Could it be that he has a lot of drainage down his throat and it has upset his stomach?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
Normally all the babies bring out some milk after feed and again swallow something.
This is called rumination
These problems spontaneously clear by 4-5 months.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
Take care
