What Causes Constant Cough With Clear Phlegm?

hello, I ve been coughing up clear phlegm. I have a semi dry to wet cough. I am now on a zpak, montelukast and loratatine. Yet, it s my 4th day and nothing seems to be working. What s your opinion. what does it mean to constantly cough up clear phlegm?

Thanks for your question on HCM.
In my opinion you should consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (pulmonary function test) to rule out bronchitis.
Your symptoms like constant cough with clear phlegm and not relieving by treatment suggest possibility of bronchitis is more.
So PFT is must. It will also tell you about severity of the disease.
And treatment of bronchitis is based on severity only. You may need inhaled bronchodilators for better control of cough.
So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
