What Causes Constant Heavy Bleeding For 4 Months After HRT?
In may 2009 I received hrt: estradeiol:20 and testostern 125 implant and progesterone 200mg cap daily. It lasted four months, I never went back i had insomnia but the hrt didn't help. then nine months later I start bleeding lots of red blood with black clots. I have been bleeding now for four months. Should I see a doctor?
Hello I have gone through your question and understood your concern.
Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) replaces hormones that are at a lower level as you approach the menopause and it is helpful to relieve symptoms of the menopause.
But as all the treatements there are a lot of possible side affects.
You had an abnormal and prolonged or excessive uterine bleeding for four months.
In my opinion this can be a side effect of your HRT and for this reason you should see your treating doctor immediately.
I don't understand why you had not contacted your doctor earlier but i want to underline that this situation can be dangerous if it is not resolved. So,don't ignore this problem any more but contact your treating doctor without delay.
Hope i have answered to your question. If you have other doubts, feel free and ask. Regards.
