What Causes Constant Loose Motions And Sharp Pain In Abdomen?

For the last 3 years I have had bowel problems every time I go to the toilet it is loose. I have recently started getting sharp stabbing pains in my left upper abdomin after I eat or sometimes just comes. And a lot of back ache. I have had both cameras blood test and stool test. Nothing shows up. Getting very depressed on not knowing what it is and being afraid to go out in case I need to go to the toilet. Is there anything else I can ask my doctor to check for please.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of constant loose motions and sharp pain in abdomen. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like infectious mononucleosis , influenza , bacterial or viral gastroenteritis or urinary tract infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe antibacterial or antiviral depending upon the diagnosis. Doctor may also prescribe laxative , omeprazole along with analgesic. You should avoid intake of outside food. For now eat light and non spicy in small and frequent meals and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain.
