Such kind of pain results mainly due to problems with TMJ particularly spasms with of TMJ muscles. This can result from any kind of trauma to the joint or can also been seen in patients with teeth night grinding habits. Only antibiotics will not help you. You need to ask your doctor to add skeletal muscle relaxants and painkillers. Moreover intermittent cold and heat packs from outside over your joint wit help to ease the spasm. You may also need to limit your mouth opening as much as possible. Also be on soft diet till the pain episodes reduces.
