I am 52 years old and have gripping pains on my left groin area. it is constantly there and some doctors suspect ulcers, gastritis etc. this pain radiates and moves the whole left side sand some time I feel like a piercing material in my anal area through the intestines or the urinal tract . I cannot accuratet describe the pain because it changes positions
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. Changing pain on the left side and particularly in groin of a male of 52 years wherein the pain goes to the rectum or anal canal can be due to the following reasons: Colitis involving the descending colon to rectum also called as proctocolitis. cancer of colon. This can be diagnosed by the following ways: Get the stool, blood and urine tests. Colonoscopy and biopsy. CT scan of teh abdomen should be done. Clinical evaluation by a General Surgeon or a Gastroenterologist. ALl these will lead to the proper diagnosis and if colitis is present get a medical treatment as per the cause found. If cancer or diverticulitis then you may need a surgery.
