What Causes Constant Reddish Vaginal Spotting With Stomach Cramps?

Hello Dr. I got my period on June 5th, however it only lasted half the day. Since then I have been spotting, initially it was dark brown for 2 weeks, then truned bight red for 2 weeks. During these 4 weeks I did not need a pad, it simply filled my toilet paper when I would wipe. and now for the past 2 days I feel as if I m regularly changing my tampon twice a day. Yesterday I also started cramping on my lower right side but only when I get In to bed. I did a pap back in March, I was sent a letter to have it redone as my cells were abnormal. Last week Wednesday I did another one and was also tested for all stds and all that good stuff. Today the doctor told me based on the results everything is completely fine just need to get the hep A vaccine. I have requester a referral to see a gyno and am now waiting for that. I must also add, I have been sexually active through out this past month-nothing s changed. My boyfriend and I do not use protection, he just pulls-out. What could be wrong with me?
