What Causes Constant Sneezing After Contact With Ammonia?
For the last 24 hours I have been sneezing frequently. Earlier before sneezing started I had used some ammonia along with soap and warm water to mop out my house. I began having runny nose with clear mucus right after due to the smell . I m wondering if that has anything to do with my sneezing?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain ammonia has very strong, pungennt and irritating smell as well as it has fumes that might have got inhaled leading to irritation and inflammation in the nasal lining and also irritating the sinuses and the nasopharynx.. This is leading to sneezing and excess mucous production that is draining through nose.. You can take anti-histamines like Levocetrizine and do steam inhalation for soothing the nasal passages, sinuses and the throat.. Avoid further exposure for ammonia and if exposed you should cover your nose and mouth with a thick scarf..
Hope this information helps..
