What Causes Constant Tingling In Vagina After Starting Norfloxacin?
Hello, I had recurrent UTIs since I was a child and I was referred recently to a urologist who has put me on a daily dose of norfloxacin sincr three months ago to take one tablet once a day. I also take cranberry tablets daily and follow through on correct hygiene and emptying bladder after intercourse. I currently have a UTI which I am now on Keflex for but since I started the norflaxacin I have a felt a constant tingling in the vagina. Is this a side effect and is it normal?
thank you so much for asking your question on healthcare magic. I will do my best to help you.
vaginal symptoms are not uncommon when you are on antibiotics. if they are mild, you can wait and see if it gets better when the antibiotics are finished. if they are severe, you might need treatment for a yeast infection or bacterial vaginitis. both of these problems are often exacerbated by antibiotics because antibiotics changes the natural bacteria that usually maintain a healthy balance in the vagina.
I hope this helps. please let me know if you have any more questions.
