What Causes Constant Tiredness And Dull Ache In Left Arm On And Off?

I am a 19 year old female. In the past year I've put on quite a lot of weight, gone from size 10 to size 14. I have been tired constantly and had a dull ache in my left arm on and off. I am a smoker and My dad has heart problems. Is this something to worry about?

Thanks for contacting HCM. dear patient although 19 is not a usual age for heart disease but you already have three risk factors for heart disease- obesity, smoking and family history. You need to undergo a complete cardiac check up to find out the cause. I would suggest following tests- BP check up, Fasting and post meal sugar check up, HbA1c, Serum Lipid profile, Echocardiagraphy, TMT test. These can help identify the cause of fatigue and pain in left arm, so that you can be treated correctly. Regards
