Hello,
Thank you for asking your question at health care magic
The symptoms of constant
tiredness are indicative of
hypothyroidism (decreased thyroid hormone)
Nodules in thyroid gland can be of different types, but since your symptoms are suggestive of hypothyroidism and the size of the nodule is progressively increasing , it need to be evaluated further to look for the presence of cancerous cells (which is unlikely because of the long duration of your symptoms)
Moreover I would like to more about your symptoms like
-your age and gender
-onset and duration of symptoms
-any pain in neck
-weight loss
-change in eating habits
-menstrual irregularity (in case of females)
-hair loss,skin changes
-intolerance to cold
-family history of hypothyroidism/thyroid cancer
I also recommend further work up
-
Thyroid stimulating hormone levels
-free t3
-free t4
-
thyroglobulin levels
-
Radioactive iodine uptake scan
-Fine needle aspiration cytology of the nodule depending on initial investigation results , to see if it is benign/cancerous
You need to consult your doctor as soon as possible, as your symptoms need medical attention
Depending on the work up and test results your doctor can determine appropriate management.
Hope I was able to help you
Please feel free to address further concerns
Regards,
Dr.Lekshmi
