What Causes Constipation After Increasing The Dosage Of Potassium Chloride?

is it safe for a doctor to increase your medication without checking for my potassium level before upping the amount from potassium cl 10 meq to cl 20 meq which is causing me constipation and tireness because i am taking this medication with furosemide 40 mg and carvedilol 3.125mg and my aspirin which is 81 mg

Appreciate your concern, no need to go for potassium test but constipation is due to drugs then you can manage it with diet and water like increase water intake, have more fiber containing diet for doctor it is not necessary to check the potassium level prior to prescribe any drug because it does not prove any thing, disease and cure is important to maintain the good, merely maintaining normal level of potassium can not cure the disease, and because of fear of alter of potassium level disease not being treated then consequences will be bad and hope this information helps.
