What Causes Constipation And A Large Lump At The Bottom Of Anus?

Hello I have had constipation of abdominal discomfort for a few weeks went to my primary care who gave me linzess I took this for 3 days and had painful diarrhea, so I stopped the linzess later that day I felt a large lump at the bottom of my anus I assumed it was a hemmorroid, although larger than I ever had before ( 5 vaginal deliveries) I have now had it for about 4 days, still constipation and I now notice, what appears to be a large sore on it

Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

It could be piles with abdominal bloating. The degree of piles must be taken into consideration for exact treatment course.

If it is 1st or 2nd degree piles then it can be managed conservatively means without surgery.

You might require,
1) topical steroids like anovate cream,
2) oral antibiotics (ofloxacin with ornidazole),
3) antiinflammatory,antihistamines and
4) laxatives or purgative (if constipation) with other supportive treatment like
5) hot seitz bath and avoid oily, spicy and non-veg diet with
6) high intake of dietary fibers like salads.

If it is 3rd or 4th degree means partial or complete rectal prolapse then surgery is the best way to get cured with all above conservative treatment.

Consult general surgeon for further advise.
