Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Constipation, Bump On Sides Of Groin, Blood Clot In Stool?
i have been constipated for about a month. I can go number 2 but its very little. I have a bump on my right side and left with pain in both sides of my groin. I took Magnesium citrate to help me become less constipated. I noticed hole lot of onion like things in my stool with little things of what looks like a blood clots in my stool. I am wondering if this is a matter for the ER or if it should be taken care of with a doctor later on. For the past couple weeks there was also a slimy like mucus on my stool that appeared to be green.
I really appreciate your concern, most of the time constipation is not due to any disease but it could be due low intake of water and fiber diet so first of all you need to increase the water intake and fiber diet, keep the regular habit of going for defecation even if you do not want to go for this, along with this you can try Isabgol powder that contains corn, and orange pill, if this fails to relieve the constipation then condition can be managed with Tab Metronidazole 400 mg twice in day for five days if it is the infection
Hope this information helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
