What Causes Continuous Bleeding After Having Implanon?

Hello I am 25 years old and I got the implanon in at the end of June this year. I have been constantly bleeding with the biggest break of 6 days with no bleeding otherwise its been a day maybe a month. Recently I felt the implanon and in the middle of the rod it feels bent or broke? I know I keep reading that its very hard to do but Ive had multiple feel it and they agree it feels bent/broken. What does this mean for me?

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi,I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Implanon is progesterone implant and is associated with side effect like irregular spotting, and prolonged periods.
If you feel that the implanon rod is broken, then you should consult your OBGYN specialist for proper examination. Local lesions in cervix or vagina including cervical cancer are also responsible for irregular spotting, so you should get yourself properly examined and investigated for the same.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
