Hello dear Understand your concern Continuous bleeding one week after surgical abortion is not normal. There may be chance of retain product if abortion done in septic condition by unexperienced hand. So i think bleeding may be due to following reasons: incomplete abortion/retain product, infections , and trauma to genital track. You should consult the gynecologist and go for following investigations: Vagina examination for rule out trauma, USG for incomplete abortion (treated by misoprostol or curettage procedure), swab test for infections (treated by antibiotics course) Rest, analgesic and proper hygiene should be required after abortion. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
