What Causes Continuous Bleeding For 24 Days?

I am 43 years old...... I have heavy bleeding since 24 days,,,,, I took Gynae CVP as per doctor's advice..... but in vain...... doctor advised to do biopsy...... Is it required? I am confused....... Now I am on Ayurvedic medicines....... but did not help...... what to do, doct? Please help.....

Hello,
If you are bleeding heavily for so long, it is important that you should get the bleeding arrested as otherwise you could land up with serious medical issues. If simple styptics are not helping, you should get further investigation including a sonogram, complete hormonal profile, thyroid profile, blood counts and coagulation profile and urinalysis. A local exam should be done to rule out local causes like erosions and polyps. Appropriate treatment along with nutritional supplementation usually heals well. Biopsy may be required only when a local cause points in that direction and your doctor who has examined you in person, is the better judge. Hope this helps.
