I had a baby in january and right after i got my depo shot, ive never been on any other form of birth control. but since then ive been bleeding non stop. itll stop for a few days then start up again. Its a brownish color and smells really strongly of like, pennys.... Is this something i should be concerned about or will it eventually go away? I asked the midwifes about it and they gave me antibiotics and it stopped for maybe a month and now its starting again. I got my last shot a week or two ago.
Hi, irregular bleeding is one of the side effects of depo. So, you can take some medicines like Tranexamic acid to stop it. Don't get stressed too much. It will go away with time. Hope I have answered your question. Regards Dr khushboo
