hi, my husband is having continous burps. This problem comes once in every 4 to 5 months. He takes pantoprazole and it works. The same problem started now. He is taking pantop but still having burps, pain in chest and left hand, and coninous burps. He has diabeted , high blood pressure , border cholesterol , high triglycerides, fatty liver too. What is causing burps problem?
HI Well come to HCM Thank for choosing HCM As per the given information I could say that, the burping could be due to acid peptic disease but looking to the risk factors he has it can not be taken granted for acid peptic disease but it is advisable and must to go for cardiac evaluation tests. like EKG, ECHO, stress tests. For the acid peptic disease if I would be doctor of this case then I would treat it with Tab Omeprazole 40 mg with Domperidone 20 mg once in day and it has to be taken at evening time, for four week. Try avoid the heavy meal, greasy, high density fat contained food, avoid taking coffee alcohol, heavy meal prior to bed. hope this information helps.
