What Causes Continuous Pain In Back With Difficulty Breathing During Pregnancy?
I'm 7 months pregnant, and my resting HR is 115bpm. I have had continuous pain in my middle back on my left side as well as on the front middle of my rib cage. Kind of feel like it is harder to breath at times, but not all the time. What could this be?
Hi, I have gone through your question. A resting heart rate of 115 bpm in pregnancy needs to be evaluated. I would suggest you get your ECG, thyroid function test and haemoglobin levels checked to find the cause of increased pulse rate and get treated accordingly. As the pregnancy advances, it is associated with stretching of the ligaments of the body and this is the cause of the continuous backache and pain in the rib cage. It is also harder to breath as pregnancy advances because there is less space for the lungs to expand as the uterus with the baby inside grows. Hope you found this answer helpful. Wishing you good health.
