What Causes Continuous Pulsating In The Ear?

hi, i get a continuose pulsating in my left ear from the time i get up in the morning until i go to bed.Sometimes it stops and a ringing in my ear takes over.I went to my G.P. and he gave me some antibiotics but they only lasted a week.It is still there , sometimes louder than other. This is slowly driving me mad! Can you help?

You should get a pure tone audiometry done and send me the reports. Also tell me do you have any nasal congestion or throat infection in the recent past?
Any history of hearing loss?
