Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
It began with a cough like I had last November when I came down with the flu. This was on Friday. Saturday thru today, I have experienced congestion in my chest and coughed up yellowish white sputum. This comes in waves. I tried dayquill fo one day, some alleviation. Today I took two mucinex pills for the congestion. Slight improvement. In two days (Wednesday) I am to undergo a procedure by my urologist to examine my bladder s sufficiency after installing a catheter four and a half weeks ago because of a prostrate blockage. Should I undergo the procedure or do I have walking pneumonia. I am nearly 74 years old and otherwise in the best of health.
