I have a persistent cough and wake up with numness in my legs and arms. I am dibetic and havenuropothy in my legs and feet. This cough started when took a perscibed med fot the nuropothy. After a week the cough just got worse each day. I stopped taking it and the cough went away immediately. Then I was in a very stressful situation a couple of days ago and this nagging cough started again and so did my racing heart in the night . I have been taking an aspirine but it does not stop the cough or rapid heart rate.

Your symptoms are suggestive of Arrythmias of heart secondary to stress and anxiety.I advise you to get an ECG,2 D Echo,lipid profile to confirm the diagnosis.Monitor your blood pressure and heart rate regularly.Drugs like Hifenac -SR,Tab.Pantop 40,Antiplatelet drugs,metolar will be helpful.Avoid stress and anxiety.Exercise regularly.
