i think my sister might have either bronchitis or either asthma but im not sure shes got a cough and when she does p.e she complains of getting short of breath she had a cold bout a week ago so im maybe wonderin is that part of it

Bronchitis (inflammation of airways) is common after viral upper respiratory tract infection like common cold. So better to take her to pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test). PFT will not only diagnose bronchitis but it will also tell you about severity of the disease and treatment is based on severity only. She will mostly improve with inhaled bronchodilators (formoterol or salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) (budesonide or fluticasone). Don't worry, she will be alright with all these.
