What Causes Cough And Shortness Of Breath?

My 5 yr olds cough wont go away its just at night. She has no wheezing and no shortness of breath. I was taking her swimming daily but stopped when I noticed her getting a cough. I thought it might be allergy to chlorine but I did ask for the levels of chlorinr and they were normal and also tried allergy medicine right before going swimming and it did help a little. So my question is can she go swimming still or should I just wait?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Actually swimming is very good for kids who are prone for allergic cough. It definitely boosts the immune system. My only concern is , whether the climate is good to take the kid for swimming. I wouldn't recommend if it is raining or if the weather is cold.

Take care
