What Causes Cough, Breathlessness And Chest Pain In A Heart Patient?

Hyper trophic cardiomyopathy plus coughing are affecting my spouse, male 64, easily tired, breathing hard, feels like he’s “coming down with something” also has periods of chest pain that come and go. Recently was on a monitor for a month and was told nothings wrong. That can’t be right. What should we do from here?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The doctor said there is nothing to worry, because your symptoms are not related to any cardiac diseases. The symptoms you are experiencing may be due to acid peptic disease or some allergic condition. You can discuss this with your concerned doctor.

Regards,
Dr. A G Shaikh,
