What Causes Cough With Mucus, Muscle Soreness With Bleeding Gums?

Hi. I have had this bad cough for over a month now. The doctor just gave me antibiotics and something to help with my mucus but it's still persistent. My muscles are sore, my whole body is sore, and now I have bleeding gums. What could this be? What other tests should I take?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain chronic cough along with mucous also known as Productive cough can be due to a number of causes like chronic upper respiratory tract infection, bronchitis, allergies, sinusitis, acid reflux, lung infection etc..
Bleeding from gums seems to be due to infection and inflammation in gums and the cause of infection can be due to deposits over teeth or can also be due to inflammation in mouth due to infection in throat..

I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and chest x ray can be diagnostic and treatment can be planned accordingly
He can advise you antibiotics like Cephexine or Azithromycin, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, anti allergics like Levocetrizine, warm saline gargles, steam inhalations and use a humidifier..
Cough suppressants can also be advised..
